Charleston: Photo Story

As I reflect on my time in Charleston, I can easily say it is one of the most beautiful places I have been and I was sad to leave a city so rich in history and charm. From the second I checked into the beautiful Zero George Hotel, I could feel the good energy in the air. I went with Pam of TheGirlFromPanama.com and Jess of ProseccoandPlaid.com for a little girls getaway and we had an amazing time eating, sight-seeing and relaxing. With South Carolina being one of the original thirteen colonies, Charleston is one of America's oldest cities. Walking down the cobblestone streets and seeing houses over two-hundred years old was something I had never experienced before. I even had the opportunity to visit Middleton Plantation. The original owner of the plantation was one of the people who signed the Declaration of Independence. It was a truly indescribable feeling walking around a place that once instituted slavery and brutality and seeing how it has transformed into a place of serenity.

If you are visiting Charleston, I'd recommend riding bikes through the old streets and along the Waterfront Park and Rainbow Row like pictured below:

My stay at Zero George: The Zero George is one of the most adorable hotels I have stayed at! It is conveniently located just a couple blocks away from the heart of downtown Charleston. I definitely would recommend staying here, it felt like home with a touch of southern charm. They have a European breakfast every morning which was delicious!
