Embracing Changes: Big and Small
In late 2014, I made the choice to not apply to a university. At the time, it was hard for my family and those around me to accept since I had gone to a college prep high school and was lucky enough to receive a private school education from Kindergarten all the way through 12th grade. I had begun acting the year prior and since then, had booked two national commercials and could barely manage to attend a full school day because of the auditions and castings I was receiving. After booking my first commercial, I knew pursuing acting was the choice I wanted to make. Luckily for me, school came fairly easy as, I was a straight-A student on the Honor Roll and enrolled in numerous AP classes, so this whole change of my path came as a shock to the school faculty and the parents of my peers. My parents were extremely supportive and although I knew they were a bit disappointed, they believed in me and they knew that my ambition and hustle would carry me throughout my career in the entertainment industry. Their support meant the world to me and with them having my back, I knew I could do anything I set my mind to. Three years later and after a ton of hard work and rejection, I have a full-time blogging career and the freedom to also practice acting, even though auditions have been scarce for me. I've learned to truly embrace everything the universe sends my way and even appreciate the slow times, and the times where I don't have a moment to even text my friends back. The decision I made that year is one I would make over and over again. I am striving to live life to the fullest and embracing all things positive which is why I've partnered with Herbal Essences to celebrate and embrace changes no matter how big or small. With my busy schedule and the heat and stress I put on my hair, I think my healthy scalp and hair are something to celebrate!
