Escape to Paradise
A closer look at my visit to the One&Only Ocean Club in the Bahamas.
Escape to Paradise...
I just returned from an absolutely unforgettable five days at the One&Only Ocean Club located right on a delicate white sandy beach and surrounded by turquoise waters on Paradise Island, just forty minutes from the Nassau Airport in the Bahamas. The Ocean Club property has a glamorous, colonial feel and is a perfect mixture of modern and classic, it's no wonder why scenes from Casino Royale were filmed in their Library Lounge. The trip was filled with relaxation, sunshine, and great food! My boyfriend and I even spent our four year anniversary there, scroll down to see what they did!
Upon arriving, we were given a tour of the property, enjoyed lunch with a view at Dune, were introduced to Kamal, who would be our butler over the next few days, and then made our way to the beach! I stayed in the Crescent Wing and was lucky enough to to wake up to a breathtaking ocean view each morning. Since we were so exhausted from traveling throughout the previous night, we ate a delicious dinner at Dune and then called it a day so we would be extra ready for day two!
Lunching at Dune...
After some much needed sleep, we woke up early to enjoy breakfast at Dune, followed by more time at the beach, and then we explored the beautiful Versailles Gardens!
The Versaille Gardens are what make the backdrop of the Versailles Pool. The structure at the top has columns that were imported from France and are remnants of monasteries. No two are the same and it really is a site to see from the bottom and from the top!

After admiring the garden and its views, we enjoyed amazing 50-minute deep tissue massages in beautiful private villas, followed by a candle-lit dinner at Dune. Their black truffle pizza is out of this world!

The following day we enjoyed breakfast on our balcony which was probably one of the most beautiful breakfasts I have ever eaten!
We also went into town to try some local Bahamian food called fish fry, which is essentially an entire fish fried, at a restaurant called Twin Brothers. Whenever I go somewhere new, I love to talk to the native people and learn more about their culture and favorite local restaurants.
Over the course of the next two days, we hung out on the beach because we just couldn't get enough of the exuberant blue water surrounding the hotel! We then went over to Atlantis for some fun at their AquaVenture Water Park, visited their aquarium, and gambled at their casino.

Later that day, I had the unforgettable dinner on the beach which really was just the cherry on top to my amazing vacation.
I may or may not have had to pinch myself over 10 times... This was seriously a dream, the picture does not even do it justice.
Thank you to the One&Only Ocean Club for this truly incredible experience, I am so fortunate to have been able to experience your beautiful Bahamas location to it's fullest extent. You guys outdid yourselves tremendously. Until next time!
