Miami Swim Week 2016

I just got home from Miami Swim Week and WOW - what a whirlwind! Miami is one of my favorite places because it is a big city right on a beautiful white sand beach. It has a tropical climate and some amazing food. The entire time I was fortunate to have sunshine and minimal rain! My friend Amanda and I stayed at the beautiful Nautilus Hotelin South Beach for eight nights and I would highly recommend it because it was so central and reasonably priced - SixtyHotels.com/Nautilus

The Nautilus (had to throw in a picture of Shake Shack which was a mile away from the hotel):

I arrived on Sunday and immediately delve right into castings for the runway shows on Monday thru Wednesday so our days were long and busy, but we did go to some unreal dinners. Monday night, Amanda and I ate dinner by the pool which was easy and good! Tuesday night we went to Cleo for dinner. It is an amazing tapas style mediterranean restaurant which I would also recommend due to their ambiance, made-to-share dishes and reasonable prices. On Wednesday, we drove into downtown Miami and went to a high end asian fusion restaurant called Komodo. the food was amazing but it was a tad pricey. Thursday was my only true day off, so some close friends and I chartered a yacht which was really fun because we spent the day cruising around and jumping into the warm and beautiful Atlantic Ocean.

Friday night, I had my first show: Frankie's Bikinis, which was woodstock/70's themed. There was flowers in our hair and some girls wore hand painted bell bottom jeans with the fun floral pattern and crocheted suits. Frankie's has been one of my favorite bikini companies for a long time now because their suits are beautiful, feminine, and made well. I walked their show last year too! Earlier that day, I went to a Lolli Swim brunch to hang out and shoot some pictures with Amber Asaly and some other girls!

Saturday thru Monday I worked as a booth model for Kaohs swimwear from 9am-5pm and I loved it because the designers are so kind and their suits are bound to be everywhere very soon. Saturday night I had the Issa De Mar show which was James Bond themed! They slicked my hair back and did a nice smokey eye look on me. This show was definitely one of my favorite things I have done in my modeling career thus far. After the show, some friends and I went to eat at a restaurant called The Dutch in the W Hotel. They also have some great dishes to share. I love the cornbread and sweet butter they bring out first and the veal, pork, and beef meatballs they offer as a starter. By Sunday, I was sleep deprived but I knew it was my last day and I had the San Lorenzo Bikinis show at night. Their theme had a Spanish flare to it with slicked hair parted to the side and red lips. It was an amazing weekend!
