Festival Beauty Edit

With my seventh Coachella coming up, I have some experience in the do's and dont's of festival beauty looks! For one, it is hot and sweaty so I wanted to share with you how I plan on keeping my skin feeling fresh along with some simple DIY makeup ideas. To start, I drink a ton of water the week prior and the days leading up to the festival because the heat and dry air are very draining to your body and your skin, be sure to give your skin some extra moisture! Sunscreen is a must! I prep my skin with my favorite moisturizer, let it soak in, and then I apply a generous layer of sunscreen. I even will use sunscreen at night because I love how it gives my skin a glistening, dewy look. I apply my usual makeup and then will pack a lip color and lip balm with SPF, facial mist (to refresh and hydrate) and powder in my bag to touch up. I also bring an external battery for my phone since there is such little service, and a ponytail holder for my hair!

Two-toned liner

This first look is super simple, you can use eyeshadow or eyeliner just under your lower lash line to create this simple, yet awesome look!

Glitter Three Ways

I love these glitter looks! I bought the various stars from a party store in the table decoration area. If you are in a crunch for time, I believe Sephora would have them or I'd recommend trying your local beauty store! I applied the stars using eyelash adhesive which worked great, they stayed on for a while! To get the shimmery look on my cheekbones, I applied a tad of eyelash adhesive with my finger and then just sprinkled on the glitter to act as my highlighter, applying only on my upper cheek bones!

Hair Beads / Hoops

For this look, I braided my hair and put little silver hoops throughout. I used these small silver hoops, but I later learned that you can actually buy hair beads that clamp onto your hair and those would definitely be a lot easier to work with. For these type of silver hoops, I either braided them in or I would tease some pieces of hair in order to make them stay!
