My Gatsby-Themed 21st Birthday Party

I had been looking forward to this night for quite a while, and now that it's finally over, I'll have to relive the event through the overwhelming amount of photos I took. I had never really thrown a party for myself before this event, and after last Friday night, I definitely can't imagine throwing another party for myself for a very long time. Not because I didn't enjoy myself, because I did, but because it is a weird feeling for me to be the center of attention in a large party setting. I prefer more intimate celebrations where everyone is there because of their love for me and visa versa, and not just there for the party. That being said, I had a great time and I was overwhelmed that nearly 70 people came to celebrate with me. The DJ was perfect and the photo booth and poker table were definitely the crowd favorites. It took nearly 5 weeks to plan the night and it was only stressful the week of. Figuring out the right amount of alcohol to get was definitely the toughest decision! After it was all said and done, it was very rewarding but I think I'll stick to throwing parties for my friends and family.  I found the amazing venue online and decided it would be only right to have it be Gatsby or Prohibition themed due to the interior of 38 Parlor.
