Favorite Hikes in Los Angeles
Hiking is something I have grown to really enjoy over the past few years. There is nothing like the rewarding feeling you have when you get to the top. Whether reaching a breathtaking view of the city, the ocean, or possibly even a waterfall, LA has some pretty amazing hikes. Since I have been living in Los Angeles for my whole life, I thought I would give you some of my favorite hikes to do within Los Angeles and the surrounding areas.

Escondido Falls, Malibu: This is definitely my favorite hike in Malibu. It is a 3.8 mile loop to the upper waterfall. Topanga Lookout, Santa Monica Mountains: I think this hike is really cool because of the view. It's not challenging and only about a 2 mile loop. At the end you reach what was the site of a former fire tower. It has a ton of graffiti and is a really cool place to hang out with views of the mountains, Calabasas, and the San Fernando Valley. Paradise Falls, Thousand Oaks: This hike is super unique and it feels like you are not even in California. There are massive rock formations and open plains as you make your way to the trail that takes you to the waterfall. Very cool and not too challenging! Runyon Canyon: Runyon is probably one of the more famous Los Angeles hikes! The view of the LA skyline from the top is amazing and the hike is pretty tough! Definitely a must if you are visiting LA for the first time, you may even spot your favorite celebrity! Directions: http://www.runyoncanyonhike.com/information/
